The oil-immersed transformer is an essential power equipment, prevalently utilized in the power system for its reliability and efficiency.

Basic Structure:
The oil-immersed transformer is comprised of several key components including the core, windings, oil tank, insulation bushings, radiators, and more. The core, constructed from laminated silicon steel sheets, minimizes eddy current losses, while the windings, made from copper or aluminum wires, facilitate voltage transformation through electromagnetic induction. The oil tank houses the transformer oil, which is vital for insulation, cooling, and heat dissipation. 
Working Principle:
Operating on the law of electromagnetic induction, the transformer alters AC voltage based on the turns ratio between the primary and secondary windings. When the primary winding is energized by an AC power source, an alternating magnetic flux is created in the core, thereby inducing the appropriate voltage in the secondary winding.

Main Components:
  1. Core: Typically made of laminated steel sheets.
  2. Windings: Primary Winding and Secondary Winding.
  3. Insulation: To prevent electrical conductivity between windings and the core, and turns of the windings.
  4. Tank: To house magnetic core and windings. 
  5. Cooling System: Natural air cooling, forced air cooling, oil cooling with radiators, oil cooling with fans or heat exchangers.
  6. Bushing: Maintain electrical isolation. 
  7. Tap Changer: Maintain voltage stability despite fluctuations in load or input voltage.
  8. Breather: Regulate the intake of air when the oil level expands and contracts due to temperature changes for oil transformer.
  9. Conservator: Also called expansion tank to ensure the oil level remains constant in the main tank.

 
 
Mainly Components:
The mainly parts of this transformer include Oil Tank, Conservator, Buchholz Relay, Breather Unit, Oil Indicator, Temperature Detector, Pressure Relief Device, Thermal Relay, Radiator, and Bushing.
1.  The oil tank is used to soak the windings by placing it in.
2.  Comply with IEC standards with CE/ISO certificates
3.  be easily contacted & enlarge throughout loading so that the temperature of the oil can be increased and decrease.
4.  Buchholz relay is used when a conservator tank is used.  Because it indicates errors like loss of oil once it goes low, improper flow of oil between the tank & transformer.
5.  Breather Unit includes silica gel that absorbs moisture in the oil.  It changes its color from blue color to pink color it is not capable to absorb moisture in the oil.
6.  The oil indicator indicates the level of the oil within the conservatory unit.
7.  The temperature detector monitors the temperature of the oil.  If the temperature of the oil increases to a certain level then the transformer will be disconnected from the service.
8.  Pressure relief device decreases the pressure within the transformer to avoid an explosion of the transformer.
9.  Thermal relay is used as an indicator for the temperature of the winding
10.  Full galvanized coating   no rust
11.  The bushing is used to connect the internal windings of the transformer with the help of an exterior electrical network.
The rated voltage can be customized as customers' requirements.

  6. External corrugated heat sink for oil tank, good heat dissipation and adjustable oil volume change, no need to install oil storage tank.
  7. The high and low voltage leads are soft connected, equipped with pressure release valve and temperature measuring device to ensure the safe operation of the transformer.
  8. High ignition point oil can be filled according to user's requirements, safer and more reliable, with a long service life.
